Patrick教授简介：

Professor Patrick Maxwell was appointed as Professor of Medicine at University College London, and Head of the Division of Medicine in March 2008. He is an Honorary Consultant Nephrologist at the Royal Free Hospitaland at the Hammersmish Hospital. Priviously from 2002-2008 he was Professor of Nephorology at Imperial College London.

His research has investigated how oxygen regulates gene expression .Singnificant discoveries have included the role of the von Hippel Lindau tumor suppressor protein in the HIF oxygen response pathway and the identification of prolyl hydroxylases that act as cellular oxygen sensors.
